Sunshine pop meets bossa nova -- an excellent album that falls somewhere between the work of Brasil 66 and The Free Design! The set was recorded in Dallas at the end of the 60s, and features some very nicely stripped-down rhythms played by a group that includes electric bass and organ -- supporting a group with sweet female vocals in the lead. Tunes are incredibly well-selected -- and the album includes a stunning bossa version of Nilsson's "Without Her", plus "Rene De Marie", "You Didn't Have To Be So Nice", "Somba De Orphia", "In The Garden", and the super-extended "TJ Blues", which is a long jazzy groover with nice Hammond!
