In addition to the different music that appeared on both the US & UK editions (which is incorporated on this LP), we have another version of the Monica Vitti/Terence Stamp duet We Should Have sung by composer John Dankworth's wife, Cleo Laine and British nightclub singer, Ray Ellington. British collectors may remember Ray from his musical interludes on BBC Radios The Goon Show! There's also a dazzling Latin-American version of the main theme. This is a kind of bittersweet tribute issue as Modesty creator Peter O'Donnell and composer John Dankworth both passed away earlier this year. A fine tribute to them!
