LPCDreissues: Looking forward to the past

During the sessions for this mind blowing 1967 album, which now makes its glorious return to vinyl, Hal Blaine went wild in the studio with drums, gong, xylophone, organ, bongos, congas and timpani. He was joined by keyboard wizard Paul Beaver (The Zodiac, Beaver & Krause a.m.o.), vibe master Emil Richards and Gary Coleman, who's best known as the percussionist in the famous Wrecking Crew. 'Psychedelic Percussion' definitely lives up to its promising title.
