Stig & Steen—Stig Kreutzfeldt and Steen Toft Andersen—were a Danish duo associated with the early ’70s Scandinavian prog/psych wave, blending close-knit harmonies with a folk-based, multi-instrument palette that could drift into trippier colors like organ, flute, and Mellotron.

Da Solen Kom (1972) (“When the Sun Came”) is their cult-loved debut, first released in Denmark on Sonet, and it moves between intimate acid-folk and misty prog/psych atmospheres, with tracks like “Sommer,” “Uafbrudt Illusioner,” and the title song often singled out.
