Recorded in 1974, after a few changes in the line up that included Clive Brooks taking the place of
Ken Pustelnik on drums (but still featuring Peter Cruickshank and Tony McPhee on bass and guitar),
this is the Groundhogs' seventh album. Once again the band serves up original and aggressive blues
rock with a big helping of long guitar jams that never sound tired or banal. Tony McPhee coined his
own personal and characteristic vision of the blues with earlier albums like "Thank Christ For The
Bomb". "Solid" continues in that vein to bring us more characteristically high-quality stomped-on
blues. An important chapter in 70s British blues and hard rock!
