Cited as one of psychedelia's finest bands, The Misunderstood originated from California and were discovered by a young John Peel. The first of these two albums, "The Legendary Gold Star Album", was produced by John Peel himself and offers a fascinating glimpse of the band as they wholeheartedly embraced the psychedelic culture. The second, "Golden Glass" is a later album when Glenn Campbell decided to refloat the band.Noted as being a primary influence on many bands including Pink Floyd, this album contains rare and unreleased tracks recorded between 1981 - 1983. The music being so good lead singer Rick Brown is quoted as saying "Our best music ever".
