CD / Mini-LP
Paper-Sleeve Original mini-vinyl artwork
- (paper only - no plastic).
- Includes 2 bonus tracks!
- Booklet with authoritative and
extensive liner notes by respected
author and journalist Chris Welch.
- Expertly remastered - superb
sound. A shaven headed man with a sock in his mouth provides the somewhat startling cover design
for the band's fourth studio album, released in 1971. The music certainly has a similar impact,
in that it darn well grabs your attention and socks out a toe tapping beat!
The band is fronted by the talented duo of Colin Cooper on deep throat vocals & sax, and Peter
'Slide' Haycock on lead guitar. The album is blessed with 12 tasty performances, such as 'Hey
Mama', 'Shoot Her If She Runs', 'Towards The Sun', 'Spoonful' and 'That's All'. (The latter is
based on a primitive Louisiana recording that they had heard and features folksy vocals,
acoustic guitar, bamboo whistles and Peter playing 'drums' on a suitcase!)
We have added 3 bonus tracks, including the single version of 'Towards The Sun' and a couple
of rare B-sides. TRACKLISTING:
