Gary Higgins is back from the time-space continuum with previously unheard moments from his storied past. Fresh from his trip to the present, Gary is back in the past for this EP of songs, all of which were written and recorded circa '70-'71, in the same time that the songs that would form his legendary LP 'Red Hash' took shape. Gary was making music with two groups located in upstate New York and western Connecticut: The Random Concept, whose roots extended a few years back & whose previous stomping ground had been New York city; & Wooden Wheel, an acoustic band with whom Gary & guitarist Jake Bell (also of The Random Concept) were playing. The songs reveal the deep strain in Gary's songwriting: bittersweet but playful, pointed but impressionistic, eerie & insistent.
