It was the dream of many young groups during the golden age of rock to record and even tour with a full orchestra. The Beatles and their use of strings had inspired many rockers to experiment with the classics, notably Deep Purple, Yes and ELP. But one of the most musically successful collaborations featured Renaissance. The British group was thrilled to be able to record this album with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in 1978, and the results delighted fans around the world."
