This album was actually co-billed as Barbara Mauritz & Lamb, and band cofounder Bob Swanson is only on about half the tracks, but Bring Out the Sun is another cohesive, invigorating release from this criminally overlooked band. Here, the focus slides more to gospel rock, with Mauritzs torchy, soulful stylings taking center stage, but youll still find the eerie, minor-key jazz-folk that made the bands previous recordings so distinctive and compelling.
