Dennis Mccrohan and brother Jerry change their surnames to Edmonton and formed Canadian psych legends The Sparrow with buddy Bruce Palmer (later of Buffalo Springfield), it was the beginning of a fabulous journey on the lost highway of Rock N Roll!
Soon they were all in L.A. with and morphed into Steppenwolf. Leaving Steppenwolf (but not before contributing the biker classic of all time Born To Be Wild to their repertoire!) to Jerry and his new bandmates, Dennis Edmonton now known as Mars Bonfire went solo, becoming one of L.A's top and coolest session-men. His wild guitar graced everyone from Thomas and Richard Frost to Kim Fowley's legendary and eccentric 1960s albums.
At the height of all this he recorded this psych/pop/folk/heavy rock album, rich with the hits he penned for Steppenwolf, and his own more minor hits faster than the speed of life. An amazing lost part of the West Coast jigsaw revealed with a groovy, dirty, Sunset style and wonderfully packaged ditto! With detailed notes by Detroit's own Matthew Smith, featuring interviews with Kim Fowley and Mars himself - this is a must for all fans of West Coast rock and Pop, Psychedelia, Folk, and Steppenwolf!
