Released in the summer of 1971 as a double album on Sonet Records, the debut of this Norwegian band definitely is a cornerstone of the Scandinavian rock music from the early '70s.
Stylistically it was heavy progressive rock, blending the tension of King Crimson, the organ and guitar sounds of Deep Purple and Uriah Heep, and the dynamics of early Jethro Tull. The dark, memorable and usually very intensive music was superbly played and driven by a flute, mellotron and Hammond organ passages, some heavy guitars, complex drumming and fine vocals.
Nowadays the original Sonet vinyl is a world-class rarity and in (rarely seen) top condition is worth about 1000 euro. It should be noted that the record cover was painted by the (now) very famous Odd Nerdrum.
