Reissue of an ultra-rare UK progressive folk-rock from 1972, with a very elegantly commercial-devised edge in places, this second LP results in a rather immediate and very accessible album overall. All these beautifully constructed songs are smartly composed and played out with feel and warmth. The Wooden Horse featured the engaging voice of Susan Traynor who went on to Mid '70s Fox fame, and a style that falls somewhere between the gems of Peter, Paul and Mary and the Velvet Underground.
