A first ever collection of all the recordings during the 60's by the UK soft rock group Katch 22. They may have missed the charts with their singles and their only LP was originally a budget label release, but today all are prized by collectors. The five Fontana label singles are here with the standout Freakbeat classic Major Catastrophe. Plus the fuzzed up movie theme track Baby Love. Their only LP It's Soft Rock and All Sorts is here with the sunshine pop arrangements of covers, including their storming Eastern inspired rendition of Marmalade's There Ain't No Use In Hanging On, plus originals. Finally an added bonus is a surviving live show set taped in late 1968 which perfectly illustrates their mixed up world. They performed songs from the diverse styles which characterised the period, from the psych beat of swinging London with Pumpkin Mini to the close harmony You Ain't Goin Nowhere. Package includes photos from the archive of band leader Mike Eastman plus interview quotes and stories from Eastman also."
