The ultimate experimental rock band of the late '60's, Lothar and the Hand People were fronted NOT by a musician, but by a musical instrument; a theremin named Lothar. The band recorded two albums, "Presenting...Lothar and the Hand People" released in 1968 and "Space Hymn" in 1969. This Acadia release is a double CD that contains both albums as well as six other tracks that were only released on 45 (remember 45's everybody?). Did Lothar and the Hand People invent "trance"?
