Triumph hit gold as one of RCA’s biggest acts, powered by a staple of FM hits that included Lay It On The Line, Fight The Good Fight, Hold On and Allied Forces. With the only exception of Rush, there was no bigger act out of Canada at the time. By 1981 Triumph had recorded three platinum albums and was firmly established as one of the premier touring rock acts in North America with generous FM radio airplay. Emmett’s name frequently appeared in guitar magazine polls and he won several prestigious awards, including Best Lead Guitarist in a national poll in 1981. The release of Allied Forces that year propelled the band even further and has since become the defining point of their career. Their appearance at Cleveland’s Public Hall confirms their status as a world famous rock act, pulling in various highlights from their last five albums.
Air Cuts proudly presents the entire original King Biscuit Flower Hour broadcast of Triumph in concert. Recorded live at the Public hall, Cleveland on 12th October 1981for FM broadcast. Professionally re-mastered with background liners and rare archival photos.
