The album ‘The Trumpet Artistry of Chet Baker‘ by American jazz trumpeter Chet Baker was recorded in 1953 and 1954. It compiles tracks previously released on the 1954 10 inch LP ‘Chet Baker Sextet‘ along with previously unissued recordings. This well-rounded LP features the very popular trumpeter in his early days and is a perfect introduction to the music of the early Chet Baker. He is known for major innovations in cool jazz that led him to be nicknamed the “Prince of Cool”.
