A big value for money release that contains Mike Bloomfield's first two albums for Takoma Records. A smattering of these tracks were included on the Takoma Best Of (CDTAK 8905) but this is the first time these albums have ever been released on CD.

"Analine" was released in 1977 and mainly consists of solo acoustic recordings, while the following year's eponymous effort features a band on mainly blues standards and is regarded as among the best albums of his later period. Bloomfield died in 1981 at the age of 38.
