Originally released in Italy in 1972, Analogy’s only studio album brings together progressive rock, psychedelic improvisation and heavy blues influences. Jutta Nienhaus’s intense vocals rise above Hammond organ, distorted electric guitar and a firm rhythm section, giving the record a dramatic character that shifts between dreamlike passages and raw, forceful climaxes.
“Dark Reflections” and “Indian Meditation” establish the album’s atmospheric side, while the extended title track develops through ominous keyboards, expressive guitar work and changing dynamics. Acoustic textures also appear in the brief “Tin’s Song” and the more lyrical “The Year’s at the Spring.” This Garden of Delights edition was prepared from the master tapes and adds the previously unreleased instrumental “Milan on a Sunday Morning.”
