Originally formed in 1965, this pioneering funk-rock band quickly became a leading live attraction in British clubs, jamming with Jimi Hendrix and providing the backing to the popular rock musical Catch My Soul. Their lone album appeared in 1970, and combines psychedelic funk with elements of jazz, progressive rock and soul, featuring guitar legend Peter Green on two tracks. Gass disbanded the following year, when singer Bobby Tench joined The Jeff Beck Group, and their album makes its long-awaited CD debut here.
