Esoteric Recordings are pleased to announce a new CD release of "HOPPKORV", the 1976 album by the legendary JEFFERSON AIRPLANE spin off group HOT TUNA.

The album was the seventh recorded by the group and was the third of the so-called "Power Trio" era of albums by the band, following on from "YELLOW FEVER" (also issued by Esoteric Recordings this month). Featuring Airplane stalwarts JORMA KAUKONEN (guitars, vocals), JACK CASADY (bass) and recently recruited drummer BOB STEELER, the album expanded the sound of the group and featured guest musicians on an album that featured fine rock cover versions of material by Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry and Buddy Holly, along with Jorma Kaukonen originals such as 'Watch the North Wind Rise', 'Santa Claus Retreat' and 'Extrication Love Song'.
