Fresh from the famed Phun City festival with the Pink Fairies, Deviants and MC5, this incredibly rare performance by The Pretty Things sees the band in their post S.F. Sorrow phase with Skip Alan and Jimi Hendrix’s young protégé - teenage genius Peter Tolson (ex- Eire Apparent). With a powerful social message, pastoral hymns and hard rocking mayhem, Parachute was about to take to the stage and diminish any misgivings about the new line-up. Captured beautifully by DRTV, this is a stunning document of those most eloquent underdogs in their prime. This is not some mere retrospective commodity; this is the Pretty Things live and unleashed over 50 years later in an increasingly ugly world.
