LPCDreissues: Looking forward to the past

Reissued on vinyl, including a generous 16-page LP-sized booklet, is 1970's self-titled album by German band Siloah. This is drug influenced psych-Kraut of the highest level.

The underground band from Munich released its first album in 1970. The LP is selftitled, but sometimes also called "Säureadler" , since one of the tracks was called "Acid Eagle" refering to lyseric acid derived from ergot fungus, the basis of LSD which had become well-known at this time. Anyhow the music of Siloah and some other bands of that time can only be unterstood against the background of their experiments with psychedelic drugs. One played hippie-psych-folk; everyone was free to do and play whatever he/she liked. You can hear this when listening to the long track "Aluminium Wind", especially.
