Conceived and recorded at Strawberry Studios in Stockport between 1976 and 1977 by producer David Rohl, "The Eye of Wendor" features musical and vocal appearances by Barclay James Harvest, 10cc, Justin Hayward (The Moody Blues), Maddy Prior (Steeleye Span), Noel Redding (Jimi Hendrix Experience), Sad Cafe and the Halle Orchestra. The Tolkein-esque conceptual work appeals to collectors of all the guest performers and is a long sought after rarity.
