Recorded in London’s Olympic studios in two weeks in the autumn of 1969, their wonderful album encompasses acid-tinged folk, riotous country, faux 1930s balladry and psychedelic pop with strong melodies, striking vocal harmonies and immaculate arrangements. One fan was film director Stanley Kubrick - he included ’I Want To Marry A Lighthouse Keeper’ and ’Overture To The Sun’ on his famous Clockwork Orange soundtrack.
