Stevie Wonder had decisively changed direction by 1972, embracing a far more experimental and personal style, with prominent use of synthesizers. Backed by his new band, Wonderlove, that year he toured heavily with the Rolling Stones, cementing his credentials as a leading figure on the music scene. This superb performance was broadcast on Soul TV WNET 13 in New York City, and finds him on fiery form on material drawn from his classic Music Of My Mind and Talking Book albums, among others.
