Whether or not Audience should be considered a "real Prog" band,but no matter how one might classify them this band certainly has to be considered a rather unique one. The combination of Howard Werth's vocals and Keith Gemmell's versatile use of sax, flute and clarinet is just immediately highly fascinating. All the tracks on this album are just equally great - although it's true that the instrumental "Ebony Variations" with its playful jazzy renditions of a classical theme and Gemmel's really virtuoso clarinet play doesn't fit quite well to the rest - Nonetheless this piece is an excellent one as well as a very rare one."
