Genesis are a British rock band formed in 1967. The band has consisted of its three longest-tenured members: founding members Tony Banks, Mike Rutherford and Phil Collins. Former members Peter Gabriel, Steve Hackett and Anthony Phillips also played major roles in the band in its early years.
