Following a memorable stint with the Steve Miller Band and prior to his major commercial success as a solo artist in the mid-1970s, Boz Scaggs and his band arrive at Pacific High Recorders at its relatively new location in Brady Street, San Francisco. Incorporating his trademark blue-eyed soul into a rock and blues band that could always deliver, Boz sings his heart out in a group more than capable of turning up the funk while delivering some of the most engaging music produced in the post 1960s Bay Area scene.
Here we join Boz Scaggs fresh from the release of Boz Scaggs and Band, his second album release of 1971. His Pacific High set from 19th December captures Scaggs at his best, performing songs from his memorable early solo albums with choice material from Moments and its sister 1971 album when they were fresh and new.
