Dutch-born sitar wizard Okko Bekker first appeared on the Hamburg scene in the late 1960s. Having studied music, he released this classic debut in 1971. On it he tackles two Beatles classics, as well as six original compositions, with backing from synthesizers, electric guitar, flute, tabla and his own masterful sitar playing. The heady result is rightly regarded as a classic of the genre, and makes its long-awaited return to CD here.
