Ex - President of the United States and one-time rock star Max Frost is, of course, best known for leading the 60's teenage revolution, lowering the voting age to 14, imprisoning everyone older than 30 in concentration camps and force-feeding the LSD.... in the 1968 AIP movie "Wild In TheStreets", that is. Max Frost & The Troopers weren't actually a real band but rather a group of studio musicians under the guidance of Mike Curb's Sidewalk Productions. They did, however, come up with an impressive selection of songs for the soundtrack of this teen exploitation flick, including "Shapes of things to Come" (included on the new NUGGETS collection) by Barry Mann & Cinthya Weil. Outfited with a great driving garage punk riff and lyrics harping on themes of revolutions and youth rebellion. This album is equal parts of '60s punk snarl and Hollywood Kitsch - a volatile mixture.Pressed on 180 gm vinyl. Limited edition of 500 copies.
