A Cruel World is the debut album by New York alternative metal band Bloodsimple. As the name suggests the band focuses on the dark side of life, think about failed relationships, addictions and wars. The band features ex-Vision of Disorder members Tim Williams (vocals) and Mike Kennedy (guitar). With an superb production, memorable riffs and fine rhythms they created an album which features both the aggressive as soft side of the band. The alternation can also be found in the vocal parts from Williams.

Bloodsimple was an American heavy metal band from the States. They recorded two studio albums and a bunch of demos. They were formed from the ashes of influential hardcore/thrash metal act Vision of Disorder and disbanded in 2008.
