Their (mostly) instrumental tunes with syncopated rhythms and living grooves of guitar and organ created a distinctive sound. Their organic, earthy funk is the Meters' signature, the sound that made them New Orleans legends. 19 tracks taken from their first 3 albums (all released between 1969 and 1970 on the Josie label and produced by Allen Toussaint and Marshall Sehorn).
