Abstract Truth was a very creative, but also very short lived group in South Africa. They released 2 studio albums in 1971 on EMI, both reissued by SHADOKS.

Their 3rd album Cool Sounds For Heads is only a compilation of these 2 LP's. Ken E Henson on guitar & vocals / Peter Measroch on piano, organ, flute, harpsichord & vocals / George Wolfaardt on bass, flute, drums & vocals / Sean Bergin on sax & flute, deliver a milestone in South African music among bands like Freedoms Children-Astra and Third Eye.

In the vein of UK bands like Bloodwin Pig, Traffic, Spooky Tooth etc they deliver progressive underground in its best with organ, guitars, flutes, sax and great vocals with occasional Zappa-style guitar solos.
