Exact vinyl re-issue of the second album from 1970 by the UK duo of Rod Edwards (Jade and Piccadilly Line) and Roger Hand (Piccadilly Line). Herein this duo leads the very same group of musicians that made up Marianne Segal and Dave Waite's backing ensemble on their Jade album, with extra production and string arrangements by George Martin. The result is a superb blend of styles that is very hard to categorise. Short West Coast influenced rock tracks sit alongside all out progressive anglophile pop symphonies that at times utilise the kind of "everything including the kitchen sink" tactics employed by Brian Wilson. Particularly impressive is the "Death Of A Man" epic that features moog freakout over a full orchestra and the Kaleidoscope/Fairfield Parlour like end section. This reissue features the original banned cover art by Beatles Artist Klaus Voorman and is taken from the master tapes.
