LP reissue on 180-gram vinyl with reproduced artwork and labels. Their s/t 1977 debut album is an influential title from American new wave history. It features songs about urban life in NYC and people who vocalist Alan Vega knew. Vega's vocals on the album were influenced by 1950s rock musicians such as Elvis Presley, while the backing music was provided by Martin Rev who provided a dense unnerving electronic sound. It was a strange combination of ingredients which worked surprisingly well.
