Mountain was one of the most powerful American hard rock bands of the Seventies. Born out of the era that saw British
group Cream in ascendancy, the group was the brainchild of New Yorkers Felix Pappalardi and Leslie West.
As a bass guitarist and former Cream producer, the late Felix Pappalardi had all the experience necessary to form a highly
successful group. Mountain became a best selling act, although it underwent a few changes of line up during its six-year
career.
'Twin Peaks' was recorded 'live' in Osaka, Japan in 1973, and features Pappalardi with Leslie West (guitar, vocals), Bob Mann
(keyboards, guitar) and Alan Schwartzberg (drums).
Among the ten action-packed tracks are driving versions of some of Mountain's best known songs, including Top 40 hit
'Mississippi Queen' and 'Nantucket Sleighride' from the 1971 studio album.
