Digipack CD Cliff Bennett, one of the finest British R&B singers of Sixties, formed his first band, The RebelRousers, in 1959. The band had a brace of Top Ten hits and was famed for its version of 'Got ToGet You Into My Life', produced by Paul McCartney.Although the original Rebel Rousers broke up in 1969, Cliff later went 'progressive' with hisshort-lived outfit Toe Fat. Cliff Bennett's Rebellion was formed in 1971 and marked a return toheavy rock. Bennett recorded this excellent set for CBS, which showcases his powerful vocalstyle, backed by a driving band.Among the eight tracks on this much sought after album are Cliff's original songs 'Say You Don'tLove Me' and 'Better World'.
