Esoteric Recordings are pleased to announce the release the classic album by Birmingham outfit The Dog That Bit People. Issued by Parlophone in 1971, it was the only album by the group that had evolved from the ashes of legendary band Locomotive by Bass player Mick Hincks and drummer Bob Lamb. Joined by keyboard player Keith Millar and guitarist John Caswell, the group recorded this album for EMI Records in 1970.
Bizarrely issued on the Parlophone label instead of EMI s Progressive imprint Harvest, the album originally failed to sell and original LP copies now command sums in excess of ï¾£500 among collectors. Featuring such excellent material as Goodbye Country , The Monkey & The Sailor and Reptile Man , the album combined harder edged rock with more subtle acoustic influences.
Goodbye Country / The Monkey And The Sailor / Lovely Lady / Sound Of Thunder / Cover Me In Roses / Someone, Somewhere / A Snapshot Of Rex / Red Queenï¾'s Dance / Mister Sunshine / Tin Soldier / Walking / Reptile Man / Bonus Track / Merry Go Round
