A welcome midprice CD release for this rare Vanguard album from 1967.
Jonathan & Leigh were a male-female duo consisting of Jonathan Alden and Sandy Roepken. They recorded this single album, very much in the style of label-mates Ian & Sylvia and Richard and Mimi Farina.
Backing musicians include Russ Savukus, who had appeared with the aforementioned Farina and Ian & Sylvia, plus bassist Richard Davis and guitarist Jay Berliner who would shortly appear on Van Morrisons "Astral Weeks".
The sleeve note includes a rare, recent interview with the duo, who were rather surprised to be rediscovered, plus some nice photos taken at the time of the LPs issue.
