Early hardrock from Canada! This is one of those confusing cases in which albums with the same title get issued in different countries, and with different contents. The American version of 'Thundermug Strikes' (on Epic) has a very different track listing than the Canadian edition on Axe Records. Though the Canadian version of 'Thundermug Strikes' is the band's actual debut full-length, the U.S. version (here reissued on vinyl) is basically a compilation of tracks from the first two Canadian LP's, the original 'Thundermug Strikes' and its follow-up, 'Orbit'. It might be worth checking out for those who like their early-'70s hardrock with pop/rock influences, decent vocal harmonies, and unusual song structures.
